Hello, Wisconsin!
Hey from Madison, Wisconsin. I'm having The Hardest Time Ever uploading pictures to my blog. It makes me sad a little, because I have some great ones. Madison is pretty cool -- right now I'm at this little coffee shop called Barrique. It's a coffee shop/liquor store/Internet cafe and it's decorated with art made out of scrap bronze and steel. Pretty neat!
From here I'm trying to find my way north, into the wild. I'm damn sick of the interstate, tolls, traffic and lane closures. I can't wait to just be the only one on the road, surrounded by lush greens and blues. That's when I can really write and think and be at my best.
I left Chicago this morning, but I can't wait to go back! David and I did so many cool things! We went to the Blues Fest, where this motley band of children were tearing it up on the side stage. They were awesome! And we walked around Millenium Park, went to the big bean thing, Pizzeria Due's for beers, and we walked to Wrigley Field to take some pictures.... which I can't show you because my connection sucks, apparently. We also watched The Big Lebowski, David made The Best Pasta Ever, we went to an opening at an art gallery (where we drank free Pabst Blue Ribbon!), we went to a bar with some of his awesome friends from the burbs, and we watched Mystery Science Theatre 3000! What a day! He really made sure we had a good time, because he rocks!!
Well, if I want to make it to North Wisconsin by nightfall, I better shut up. More later, my lovelies!
