Commitments to the Road, Phase 2

This time around I have to remember a few things:

1. Listen more, speak less

2. Figure out a way to write not-so-flattering things about people who I know damn well are going to read this without them getting offended.....

3. Call home more often.

4. As my friend Lisa would say, "Just do the damn thing!"


I almost can't put into words how excited I am to be on the road once more. I've busted my ass and gotten lucky, all in one. Neither one can be solely credited, it's both. It hasn't hit me fully yet, though, because I'm in Sandusky right now and I've been here so much it just feels like another weekend trip. I think the magnitude of the situation will sink in more tomorrow, when I get to Chicago, and even further on Friday or Saturday, because by then I'll be in Wisconsin. And by the time I get to the North Dakota line, I'll be a jittery, unflappable ball of YES, just like I was last year.
