Sometimes it's impossible to not feel boring. To have gone from a jet-setting travel writer to a desk monkey, albeit temporarily, is tolerable.... but ultimately unfulfilling. I haven't had much time to write about local or current things, either, which is what usually keeps me going. The result is me staring at a blank text box, knowing that I have so much to say and no way to know where to start. There is the fear of sounding trite. There is the knowledge that I'm so much better than this.

There is my boss standing over my shoulder.

I can't wait until things were how they used to be.
